Materials:
RED HEART® Super Saver®: 1 skein 3945 Blue Suede
Susan Bates® Crochet Hook: 4mm [US G-6]
Yarn needle
Scissors
Gauge/Tension: GAUGE: 14 sts = 4″ (10cm); 14 rows = 4″ (10cm). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain gauge.
Cozy measures 10½ x 7” (27 x 18 cm).
Notes
1. Cozy is worked in a continuous spiral with Right Side always facing. Do not turn unless otherwise indicated. Use stitch marker to keep track of beginning of rounds. Weave in ends as you go.
2. Ribbing is worked in rows and joined to top of Cozy as work progresses.
COZY
Ch 26.
Round 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 23 chs, 3 sc in last ch, turn; working across opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 23 chs, 2 sc in last ch – 52 sc.
Rounds 2-33: Sc in each sc around.
Round 34: Sc in each sc around, slip st in next sc.
Do not fasten off.
Ribbing
Ch 8.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in next 7 sc, slip st in next 2 sc of Round 34, turn – 8 sc.
Row 2: Sc in back loop of next 8 sc, ch 1, turn.
Row 3: Sc in back loop of next 8 sc, slip st in next 2 sc of Round 34, turn.
Rows 4-51: Repeat Rows 2-3, 24 times.
Row 52: Working in both back loops of Row 51 and free loops of Row 1, sc in each st across, slip st in top of Row 1.
Fasten off.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.
