Celestial Circle Crochet Cowl and Hat

    Crochet Hook: I/9 or 5.5 mm hook
    Yarn Weight: (4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
    Crochet Gauge: 13 stitches and 7 rows = 4″ in DC
    Finished Size: Small (24″ circumference) & Large (30″ circumference)

    Materials List

    • 200 – 250 yards worsted weight yarn such as Red Heart Soft in a Main Color and Accent Color
    • 5.5 mm (I-9) crochet hook or size needed to obtain the gauge
    • Yarn needle for weaving in ends

    Pattern

    Size Small

    Circumference = 24″ • Height = 6.5″

    1. Round 1: With Main Color – Ch 91, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each chain across, bring the ends together and sl st in first sc to form a circle (90)

      Fasten off Main color. Join Accent color in first stitch.
    13. Round 13: Ch 1, *sc2tog, sc in next 7 sts,* repeat between * back to start, join in first st (80)
    14. Round 14: Do not chain. Working in Back Loops only – Sc in first st and in each st around, do not join; continue working in a spiral (80)
    15. Rounds 15-17:  Repeat Round 13
      Fasten off Accent Color. Join Main Color in first stitch.

      Fasten off Main Color.
    17. Bottom Edge of Cowl – Join Accent Color in any stitch near the beginning seam on the foundation chain.

      Fasten off Accent Color. Join Main Color in first stitch.
